This decorative bowl is made from beech wood that comes from the Forest Botanical Garden located in Tharandt/Germany. My partner's father works there. He called me when this tree fell during a storm and offered it for my work. This bowl is one of the biggest I have turned so far and the wood is really beautiful. The grooves on the side shows the warping of this piece as they rise and descent like a water in the wind. There is some beautiful spalting in the wood which won’t bore your eyes.

TAE je z bukového dřeva, které pochází z Lesní botanické zahrady, která se nachází v saském městě Tharandt. Pracuje tam otec mé partnerky a tak mi dřevo nabídl poté, co byl strom vyvrácený během bouřky. Tahle dekorativní mísa je jedna z největších, které jsem doposud vysoustružil a je to opravdová kráska. Hluboké linky na její vnější straně kopírují deformaci, kterou mísa získala během schnutí dřeva. Dřevo má nádhernou kresbu, která je obohacená o černé linie, které způsobila přítomnost houby ve kmenu stromu. Pohled na ni vás určitě neomrzí.
