Today I finished these two new designs.
So many people enter and leave your life. Hundreds of thousands of people! You have to keep the door open so they can come in! But it also means you have to let them go! (Jonathan Safran Foer)

Dumped but not lost
I was already late for the "business" meeting when I saw pile of garbage and two nice chairs next to it. I parked my bike, locked it, change the time of meeting and grabbed those chairs and as a bonus took couple of wall maps sticking out of that pile and headed back to my workshop.
Im going to replace the fabric with the new one and than its a chair Ive always wanted.

Jeden rozhovor

Sharkwater
Ive heard of this movie before but never watched it until last week. But Sharkwater is movie everyone should watch. It shows sharks as you probably never seen them before. It doesnt picture them as killing machines - beast waiting in deep waters ready to kill a man as soon as it occurs in its territory.
Its a movie about the balance of life on earth.
Driven by love and passion toward these mysterious animals the filmmaker Rob Stewart fights “historical stereotypes and media depictions of sharks as bloodthirsty, man-eating monsters and reveals the reality of sharks as pillars in the evolution of the seas”.
The movie exposes the exploitation and corruption surrounding the world's shark populations in the marine reserves of Cocos Island, Costa Rica and the Galapagos Islands, Ecuador. Its shows world of these fascinating predators, it shows how fragile this World is, how people blindly hunt these animals-for fear and mostly for profit. Without protection the everyday diminishing population of sharks can easily be wiped out within few years.
I have seen sharks when diving in Thailand and Bali and i love these animals. I didnt fear them but felt such a respect . And it breaks my heart to know there is over a million sharks killed every year.
Even though longline fishing and and shark finning is banned now on most of the places in the World its still happening with only few people noticing. How much suffering do we have to cause before we realize its pointless.....

Miroslav Tichý - R.I.P.
What a great photographer who didnt want fame but became famous all around the world for his unconventional photography. They call him voyeur, they call him genius, they call him an icon, they call him weirdo. I think all of it is truth.

“The Vegan Monologues”
Couple of days ago i read Vanity Fair magazine which i found in the pile of newspapers and magazines in the guesthouse in Lovina/Bali. I had nothing better to read so i just went through pages when title of one article caught my eye “The Vegan Monologues”. It was an article by John Heilperm who interviewed Kathy Freston – former model and now the bestselling author of Quantum Wellness.
Well to be honest i havent heard of Kathy Freston and nor i have heard of her book, but its
always nice to read about how someone became vegan – as i had my own way how i became one. What i really liked about the article though were last two lines written by an author J.H. Throughout the whole interview/article it seemed to me that he despise both veganism and vegetarianism. Thats why the end of the article surprised me. “I will never become an alfaalfa-and-brown-rice man, but since my lunch with K.F. i have decided to give up eating all meat.”
After he told her these great news she wrote him “You have made my day!!” And even though i didnt know who K.F. and J.H. were - they totally made my day!!

The same day. The same magazine. Interview with Ken Bradshaw – an 58 year old man who is believed to have ridden the biggest wave ever surfed. Apparently an healthy man who still rides waves so heavy thy shake the Earth when they break. “He stands six feet tall and seems to be built of muscle and jaw. If you punched him hard enough you would break your hand. If you hit him with a bat you might break it too...”
Besides the interesting interview about surfing there was “interesting” fact about this guy – that he also doesnt eat meat.
I dont know if this issue of Vanity Fair was somehow dedicated to veg problematic ( i guess it wasnt), but it totally made me happy that veg life was discussed here even twice.

"Coincidence"
I dont believe in coincidences. I really dont. So there is something else i believe in. Its that things go the way they are supposed to go. We can influence them, but there is some path already drawn. I plan to write long article about why i dont believe in coincidences, but i will do so another time not now.
The reason why i write about this is coz i just got message from my best friend Vitakr who is traveling South east asia with his girlfriend Ala. They are in Kratie/Cambodia at the moment and aparently they are accomodated in the same guesthouse (there are many) and the same room (there are many rooms in this guesthouse). I know it coz they sent me picture of that room. And in that room about 3 years ago i stenciled Deafmessanger on the wall. And its still there...and they found it....
Last year another best friend Marfy (yes i have more best friends :-)) sent me a message from Cambodia as well. From another town though. This time it was Kampong Cham also located on Mekong river far more south than Kratie. He wrote me he got this room with my stencil on the wall. There were also plenty of guesthouses (with plenty of rooms in them) in Kampong Cham and still he got into one i spent few nigths on my journey though S.E. Asia. Its even kinda scary. But still i love it. And its not coincidence.

BACK TO THE FUTURE
Few weeks ago i came across this wonderful project made by Bueno Aires born artist Irina Werning. There is a nostalgy in it, there is a beauty and there is also an almost-urge to copy her project for yourself. I dont think im going to do it - even though im sure that taking such a pictures of people i love would definitelly made them happy...thinking of mom, dad, my brother and some of my dearest friends.....
