Bike Diaries
Some bike diaries i made about a week ago. I sold all of them on the Fluff fest here in Czech. I was afraid people wont like them coz they are so heavy, but i underestimated "these people". I think they would even bought the diary with the whole fixie glued on it :-). Guess they would dumped the diary and ride the bike or maybe they wouldnt really dumped it, but ride the fixie and kept the diary to write in it later. I have to make one to find out.

Back in NY
After over a month i spent in Peru i came back to NYC. It was real pain in the ass to make it through the immigration control. This time they had more stupid questions than ever before. Almost kicked me out of the country for bringing few stones and brazilian nuts with me without marking "yes" in the form they distribute on the board. So i actually did something illegal. So i had spent almost one hour being asked the same questions over and over and over again. At the end the let me go saying: "you are very lucky" and thought i will fall on my knees and kiss their hands for doing so. Gosh how much i hate immigration police everywhere!

Exploring Peru
Finally i uploaded some pictures from my trip to Peru. I didnt want to take my big camera with me, coz it is too heavy and i hate carrying it around, but i regret it. Especially because i couldnt really take good closed up pictures in the Jungle. Well next time i will be smarter and put it in my bagpack.
I spent my last week in Peru in the Amazonian Jungle. Took 18 hours bus ride from Cusco to Puerto Maldonado and than called this guy Victor a friend of mine recommended me as a good guide in the jungle and next day we hit the road. I spent 3 days by the lake Sandoval and it felt like my childhood dreams coming true. I loved the jugle for it sounds, the smells and even the humidity. And of course for all the wild life there. It was one of these trips when u just smile and smile and get surprised everytime. It was awesome to see the animals i have seen only in the ZOO (where i dont go anymore) or on the Tv screen. If there is something to go back for to Peru its definitely Amazonia.

Drinking water from wild liana. And NO this is not Ayahuasca. Ayahuasca is a liana of the amazonian forest. It is well known and used by the amazonian tribes, they consider it a sacred and master plant; it is the basis of shamanism, taditional medicine and indigenous cosmovisión. It is called Caapi in Brasil, natema in Ecuador, Yajè in Colombia and Ayahuasca in Perù. In the quechua language, ayahuasca means “liana of heaven”, so is called Mihi, Dapa, Pindè, Kamarampi, etc.

Protests in Pueto Maldonado. Simillar protests let to the death of at least 45 people in rioting between police and indigenous demonstrators in the town of Bagua in the Peruvian Amazon on June 5th. Fortunataly there were no deaths this time, but still there were really bad vibes in the Air. Happy i didnt withess more bloodshed and happy i didnt miss my flight from Lima. My bus connection got cancelled due to strikes in PM. I didnt mind the extra day in PM, but i was scared i will be trapped in the city for much longer. Fortunately i could take the bus next day.

Great thing about this trip was that i could hang out with couple of good friends. Spent week with my oldest friend (and class mate for 11 years!!!) Vita and his girlfriend Ala. Than i spent 5 days with my friend Ludivine who i met for the first time in Cambodia almost 2 years ago and than i had great time hanging out with Greg and Marinell. Imet these guys in India last year and we spentalmost a month together in Tibetan town called McLeod Ganj in Himalayas. I knew Vita gonna be there - in fact they provoked me to go to Latin America and meet them to share some great adventure together. But i didnt know Ludivine, Greg and Marinell gonna be there as well. I just found out when mentioning my travel plans to them in casual email i wrote them before leaving. So it was surprised, but awesome surprise coz i really like them and was happy to have a chance to do some traveling with them again.
Lake Titicaca is a lake located on the border of Boliviaand Peru. It sits 3,812 m (12,500 ft) above sea level, making it one of the highest commercially navigable lakes in the world. By volume of water it is also the largest lake in South America.

This is one of the floating islands located few miles from Puno. Its is an amazing and unique thing to see. These islands are all made by people that live on them for centuries. When i first stepped on one of them i had to think about book by Yann Mantel "Life of Pie", coz there is an magic island that floats on the ocean. The island was more dangerous than the one on Lake Titicaca.
